Our Board of Trustees

As-Sadiq Islamic School is governed by an elected  Board of Trustees whose mandate is to oversee the management of the school.

​​The main responsibilities of the Board include ensuring the financial and legal stability of the school, meeting requirements of governmental agencies and accrediting bodies (e.g. Ministry of Education), policy development aligned with the school’s mission, ensuring the Islamic values of the Shia Ithna Asheri faith form the foundation of the school’s identity, provision of an excellent education and oversight of the daily management of the school.

The day-to-day operations of running the school is overseen by the school’s administrative team. For school-related issues, please contact the school directly via the main office (905-695-1588 or info@as-sadiqschool.com).

Meet the Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees consists of volunteers who are selected based on their diverse professional expertise and demonstrated commitment to the school.

Board members contribute to the school’s advancement through leading and implementing actions outlined in numerous committees such as IT, Marketing and Social Media, Fundraising, Human Resources, Finance, Religious Affairs, Facilities, Academics, Governance, Events and Public Relations.

Maulana Syed Mohammed Rizvi is one of the founders of As-Sadiq Islamic School and is the longest-serving Board of Trustees member. Maulana Rizvi also serves as the resident Alim (scholar) of the Islamic Shia Ithna-Asheri Jamaat of Toronto.

In August 2018, As-Sadiq Islamic School lost one of its valuable members of the Board of Trustees, Br Aunali Moledina. We immensely thank Br. Aunali Moledina for his commitment, passion, dedication and service to our school over the years and we ask our school community and beyond to remember him with a Surah Fateha.
