Our vision at As-Sadiq Islamic School is to provide a superlative education with an Islamic perspective as we work towards our aspiration to be one of Ontario’s best academic institutions.  Achieving this is not simple, and our staff, administration, and Board work tirelessly every day to bring this vision to life.

How do school finances work? 

About 90% of our revenues comes from tuition fees.  This covers the basics, such as rent, teachers’ salaries, classroom supplies, maintenance and technology support.  As a community-based private school, we are committed to making the school accessible through affordable tuition.  For this reason, we rely on donations to help us do more to help our children succeed.

The impact of the 2022-23 Reach the OASIS campaign

In December 2022, we launched our annual Reach the OASIS campaign with an ambitious goal of raising $320,000 to help us enrich learning, enhance the student experience and uplift our premises. 

We exceeded this goal thanks to the generosity of our donors.  These funds were used to:

• Equip grade 8 students with laptops in their classrooms to support 21st century learning and enhanced course content in a post-COVID-19 environment
• Hire an additional guidance counselor to help prepare grade 7 and 8 students for high school and our high school students for university
• Onboard two new remedial teachers to support students post-COVID and ensuring they are meeting our academic requirements
• Construct a brand new, state-of-the-art physics lab to enrich our science offerings for all students as they prepare for high school and university
• Refresh our French, Qur’anic Arabic and Islamic Studies programs and investing in professional review and content development
• Enhance the look and feel of the school with new carpets for our Preschool, CASA and Prep classes and filling our halls with Islamic artwork and calligraphy to reflect our rich heritage.
