Subsidy is available only to the Shi’a Ithna-Ashari students. As-Sadiq Subsidy Committee reserves the right to ask for written proof from Shi’a centers in the Greater Toronto Area.
Please note that the subsidy program is funded by donations and is provided as ‘Karz-e-Hasana’ (A Good Loan). The school will not ask for the money to be returned by a specified time. However, when your circumstances change and you are able to return the ‘Karz-e-Hasana’ (A Good Loan) back to the school, you are responsible for doing so.
All applications will remain confidential. Please ensure that all questions are answered and required documents are attached before submitting the online application.
The application must be complete, accompanied by the 2024 Notice of Assessment (both Spouses) and a letter of explanation supporting eligibility. The school reserves the right to request additional documentation. Kindly return all the above no later than May 31st, 2025. Applications received after the deadline will only be considered if funds are available.
Subsidy is given on a year-to-year basis. You must apply for each year separately. Approval in
one year does not guarantee that the subsidy will be automatically approved for future years.
As the subsidy program is funded by donations, there are limited funds available. Applications
are reviewed in the order in which they are received. If an incomplete application is received including a
missing Notice of Assessment, the applicant will lose their priority.
Please be advised that the Subsidy will not be back dated for late applicants. Full fees are
payable until the subsidy is approved. Please return the required documents as early as possible to avoid this
situation.
Fees are payable in full on the first of each month. Once subsidy is approved parents
MUST provide banking details for direct debit or postdated monthly cheques for the full school
year. In the case of NSF, a nonrefundable fee of $15 is charged. If dues are not paid in full by the end
of the month, subsidy may be revoked and will NOT be reinstated.
The fee schedule (excluding subsidy) for the year (12 monthly payments July 2025 - June 2026) is as follows:
Casa/Prep Programs: Full Time: $998 per month
Gr. 1-8: $726 per month Additional child (Grade 1 – 8): $674 per month
Highschool: $780 per month
Please be advised there is NO Subsidy for the Preschool program, After care
program and Bus service. Subsidy for Preschool programs is often available through
local municipalities.
